8/13/08: I just returned from a great trip on Green Bay. I started my week with my good friend Rob Blosser as we practiced for the annual SWC Battle on the Bay. After the tournament, I went up to the Door County area with my family for a much needed 3 day vacation. Check out my log for the tournament results and some pictures from a great week of fishing. I will be running trips in Madison until September 6th. I will take the rest of the month off to finish up tournaments before heading up to Little Bay de Noc this October.
7/9/08: Today is the last day I will be in town for awhile. I will be leaving tomorrow for the last FLW qualifier of the season in Escanaba, MI. It’s been great to be home for the last couple of weeks. The weather has held together the entire time I’ve been home and so has the fishing! I will be returning on Monday, July 28th. Cell phone reception is always a gamble up there, so if you need another way to get a hold of me, try contacting the Bay View Motel at 906-786-2843.
6/30/08: It’s been a great week to be on the Madison Lakes! The weather has been beautiful, fish have settled into predictable patterns, and fishing/boating pressure remains light thanks to the “no-wake” ordinance still in effect. I spent a few hours this evening with Jeff and his two sons, Brock and Devon. Army duties call so Jeff will be leaving home for awhile. It was my pleasure to get the boys on Lake Monona’s bluegills before he leaves town.
6/22/08: I returned home today from back to back events in Cass Lake, MN as well as Oshkosh, WI. For those interested in doing some fishing here in Madison, I have a few openings between now and Wed, July 9th. I leave for the last FLW qualifier of the season shortly after. Keep in mind that with the “no-wake” rule in effect, full days are encouraged to provide more time with lines in the water. Remember, “no-wake” means no water skiers!
5/27/08: Today was the first time this year I fished for something other than walleyes. I went out to lake Mendota with my good friends Bryant, Allie and Jenna. We had steady action for 3 hours before we were hungrier than the catfish and headed to shore. Great job girls!
